Mooning
Hi there,
well last week was a busy one, marking etc and I spent Friday and Saturday mooning people.
Well actually I was MUNAing which is where I take 4 teams of kids to the Model United Nations Assembly and watch them attempt to solve the ills of the world for two days. Solving the ills of the world involves a lot of Ranting, humorous costumes, more ranting, trying to create some sort of global power struggle and more Ranting. Actually they all work really hard to research their country and then "act" as if they were them. If you’re
I was pretty tired by the end of two long days but we went and watched the All Blacks play
Actually I just remembered that we went and checked out the 48 hour film festival finals. Basically a whole lot of teams compete to make a short movie in 48 hrs. They are given certain things that they all have to include and they draw a genre out of a hat that they have to use (there are 16). It was cool night which Kate convinced me to go to so go her. Also we went to a restaurant called Waggamammas (query spelling) which is this cool Japanese noodle house thing. It was SO great.
On the topic of great places I have just discovered a cafe nearby in Epsom which is called "The Ark" which is a stylie cafe which does great coffee AND has a car museum!! Also, it was a service station/garage in a past life so it has the old forecourt area with heaps of covered motorcycle parking (at least that’s how I am interpreting the use of space :) ) I am planning to live there.
