Well I survived a week on Motutapu Island with 212 year thirteen (seven form) students last week. A great camp. I got to sail out on a keeler yacht to the island and then spent a lot of time helping run kids through team building activities which is great because you can see them do really funny things. One is building a raft but you spilt them into two teams and then make them compete through different activities to win pieces of equipment for their raft. Things like make the longest physical line on the ground using yourselves and anything you have on you right now. Also find the teacher with the magic password on camp (suitably far away) and the first one back. Also the bow port starboard stern game. It was great fun watching them, going hard out to win but encouraging each other.
In other breaking news Jeni has bought a motor bike as of tonight. It’s awesome and I am jealous. A friend of mine and it fixed up and repainted and sold it to Jeni at a very reasonable price. In fact she could probably make money selling it next week. I am sure photos will follow soon.
That’s all for now.
